JBSafe Ltd is a Cambridge based consultancy specialising in laboratory safety and biosafety. We aim to support safe science within the start up and SME biotech community here and in a remote capacity across the UK. We can support you in achieving legal compliance and good health & safety management so you can focus on the science. Founder and director Susan Chapple (PhD, MISTR, CertIOSH) in addition to managing varied aspects of health & safety throughout her career is an experienced lab scientist working for 20 years within academia, clinical labs and biotechnology companies in Oxford and Cambridge. For start up companies, we can help you set up your health & safety management system and work with you to support its implementation. Our consultancy service can be tailored to your specific needs. This might be supporting existing safety officers or providing a more hands on service. Our biosafety consultancy service aims to provide advice & information on work associated with biological agents, and genetically modified organisms. Services range from assistance with general health and safety documentation, risk assessments, provision of competent safety person to assistance with biosafety registration, notifications and licenses.
